Families are invited to join the fun at the upcoming Kalmiopsis Elementary Spring Carnival from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Kalmiopsis Elementary School.
The community event will feature carnival games, prizes, a bounce house, food, treats, and a book fair. Organizers say the event is designed as a fun-filled evening for the whole family and is open to the public.
Tickets for games will be available for 50 cents each, with most activities costing between 2 and 6 tickets.
In preparation for the carnival, organizers are also holding a Candy, Soda and Cake Drive to help support the event. Students can earn points toward a class party by donating items.
Drive point values include:
- 5 points per pound of candy
- 2 points per 2-liter bottle of soda
- 3 to 5 points per baked good, depending on size
Store-bought baked goods that do not require refrigeration may be dropped off between May 11-13. The drive concludes May 13.
Kalmiopsis Elementary families and community members are encouraged to participate and help make this year’s Spring Carnival a memorable event for students and families.
