Dear Parents and Families,
As the school year for our students has come to an end, we wish to take this opportunity to express our deep appreciation and gratitude to each one of you. We are grateful to be leading such an amazing community of students, parents, and staff. It has been an amazing year.
For the upcoming 2023-2024 school year, we wanted to give you a look ahead and some important dates to mark in your calendar:
- All students K-5 will attend school M, Tu, Th, and F from 7:50 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- All students K-5 will attend school on Wednesday from 7:50 a.m. to 1:10 p.m.
- Breakfast will be served in the cafeteria from 7:30 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. for students. Please do not send your child to school early if they are not participating in the breakfast program.
- Drop-off time is 7:50 a.m., and doors will open for all students not having breakfast.
- If your child rides the bus, they will be dropped off at the scheduled time and escorted to the cafeteria.
- Returning student registration will start on August 1, 2023, online. Enclosed you will find your student’s log-in information.
- If you have an incoming kindergartener and have completed the kindergarten registration, you will not need to register again during online registration.
- Secretaries are back in the office on August 3, 2023, with office hours from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- August. 17, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. will have new student registration for Kalmiopsis Only in the Kalmiopsis Cafeteria.
- August 24, 2023, the parent portal will close for scheduling students and will reopen on August 28, 2023. At this time, you will be able to see your child’s teacher placement.
- September 5th and 6th will be a soft start for kindergarten. Teachers will reach out to you and schedule a time for your child. These will not be full days, so please plan accordingly.
- September 5th, 1st -5th grade will have a soft start from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
- Breakfast will be served for students in the cafeteria during this time, and the cafeteria will be closed at 8:50 a.m.
- For the first day only, parents are welcome to walk their child to their classroom. We are asking parents to leave by 9 a.m. so school can start for students.
- Volunteers who completed their information for the district are good for two years. If you plan to volunteer for the 2023-2024 school year, please go to the district website and start your online application so that you are ready to go. You will need to complete the application and background check if you want to volunteer in classrooms or go on field trips.
