Dear Kalmiopsis Families,
I hope this finds you well and safe, we would like to let you know that you should have heard from your student’s teacher this week (week of March 30-April 3). If you have not please email me at [email protected]. We would like to ask your patience as we all learn together to do distance learning, it is all very new to us.
Please remember that Brookings Harbor Food Service is providing food for families on Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 am-8 pm.
The distribution of Chromebooks for students at Kalmiopsis is planned for Friday, April 10, from 10 am to 4 pm. Please drive through the designated line and we will hand you your student’s Chromebook, without you having to exit your vehicle. Please don’t hesitate to contact any of our staff members if we can assist you in any way, either by phone or email.

Here is the schedule for learning packet and Chromebook pick-up as of 9 a.m. Monday, April 6:
- Monday, April 6: First (1st) Grade packet pick-up from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. by the first-grade shelter. Please drive-in the bus pick-up lane. Do not exit vehicles or try to walk into the school buildings (Updated location).
- Tuesday, April 7: Kindergarten (K) four-week packet pick-up (K will be from 8 a.m. to p.m. from the Kalmiopsis Foyer) and Third (3rd) Grade packet pick up (3rd is having 2 pickups on Tuesday. First is from 9-10 a.m. and other is from 3-4 p.m. We are opening the bus gates and having the parents drive-through and the teachers will retrieve the material and deliver to parents in the car).
- Wednesday, April 8: N/A
- Thursday, April 9: Fifth (5th) Grade packet pick-up is CANCELED (Students should have everything they need via online/email instructions from teacher, and personal belongings retrieval will be scheduled for a later date). Second (2nd) Grade packet pick-up (9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

- Friday, April 10: Chromebook distribution (10 a.m. to 4 pm in the Kalmiopsis foyer) and Fourth Grade packet pick-up (10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. as a drive-thru starting near the Kalmiopsis front office end and exiting by kindergarten area, stopping in front of Shelter 1 for teachers to give belongings to parents in the car. Please don’t get out of your vehicles).
